As Occupational Therapists we are experts in activities of daily living. We have a unique skill of looking at the person, environment and activity to find way ways optimising performance. Since 2019 to 2023 Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP’s) rose by 72% which is over 500,000 children and young people. With this ever-increasing need for support children and young people could fall behind without the additional support from professional like Occupational Therapists.  

For a long time now Occupational Therapy reports have been used as supporting evidence for EHCP’s, but have you ever considered having your very own Occupational Therapist. A contract could save your school time and money as well as supporting teachers, SENCO’s, parents and of the children and young people.

Your Occupational Therapist can provide:

 

• Full 1-1 Assessments looking at handwriting, coordination, life skills, executive functioning skills and sensory processing skills. 

• Provide detailed plans targeted on specific goals like improving letter formation, handwriting speed or focus and attention in class. 

• 1-1 therapy session working on targeted areas of difficulty such as handwriting, typing, executive function, visual perception and focus and attention.  

• Small Group sessions working on targeted areas of difficulty such as handwriting, typing, executive function, visual perception and focus and attention. 

• Advice and support around optimising the school environment for leaning. 

• Advice to Teacher and SENCO on how to work with children with a Neurodisability or neurodiversity.  

• In house training on creating a sensory smart classroom, handwriting, fine motor skills and coordination. (these are provided at an additional cost) - Schools under our contracts will receive 10% discount
